The results are in from the Pilot Lights Theatre Festival and I'm excited to announce the award of Outstanding Director has been won by our very own, Grace Chalmers in her production of Perspective.  As well, Brenna Livingstone and Grace are recipients of the Outstanding Technical Role Award in Cinematography (Brenna Livingstone) and Editing (Grace Chalmers). A big congratulations to Grace and Brenna on taking home these awards! I have posted at the very bottom (it's a bit lengthy but so worth the read) the highlighting comments from the judges on these awards!

Johnny Som's The Aldrich Medallion was recognized by the judges to be a deserving piece of an even grander scale - "This piece was absolutely epic in scale, and probably deserves its own series to do it full justice! Special shout-out to the costumes for so specifically and effectively supporting character differentiation!"

Brenna's Undecided was recognized by judges for her creative use of filming location -"the creative team of this piece made great use of the architecture in their school to create visually compelling spaces for the story to unfold." As well in the development of her plot - "nice use of a plot twist to keep the audience guessing and following the journey of your main character."

These students worked so hard at putting these together and it is so great to see them all recognized for their hard work and dedication. Again, a big thank you to Mr. Brown's class in supporting the editing and filming process for the productions and developing these skills in our students. It was great to see the two worlds come together.
