My name is Michelle Veroba and I am from Brooks, Alberta, Canada. I am currently teaching in the special education program at BCHS. I work with a wide range of students and I love working with those kids every day.
Before I moved back to my hometown of Brooks, Alberta I taught grade 4 in Medicine Hat for a few years and I also taught English in Xiamen, China. Both experiences really enhanced my thrill of teaching. I enjoy experiencing new adventures and love the challenges this career brings me.
When I am teaching I make sure I have an enthusiastic attitude to keep my students engaged. I am always eager to try new strategies to keep my lessons engaging. Since I work with a variety of students I make sure I am empathetic to all their needs. It is important for me to keep things exciting and humorous while working with teenagers, so they feel comfortable while in my class.
When I am not teaching you will find me curling with the ladies, eating out, travelling, playing baseball, gardening, walking our little Chihuahua, watching our local AJHL hockey team (we billet one hockey player), playing cards, attempting to golf, hanging with my friends and family, and coaching badminton. I like to stay pretty busy, but I also enjoy sleeping in a little on the weekend
